"There is no respect for others without humility in oneself", Henri-Frédéric Amiel.
Introducing the latest release from Amina Cyu. “Más Humilde EP”, a listening session made up of 5 pieces that reveal the successive depth of ideas with which this sound rehearsal dedicated to the song of otherness was imagined.
Designed for the occupation of different places at different times, to contemplate foreign forms and meanings, to carry out and accept change and cycles, without limits, without borders, without differences.
This work embodies the desire for genuinely loving encounters, the desire that isolation will never be total and that we continue to expand from within to accommodate the enormous universe outside.
Made with bits of audio collected in the center of Mexico City (thanks to Céntrica Vol. 1), in borrowed studios, on the internet, in truncated or unfinished sessions ... an accumulation of sound elements and life experiences that remain in the collection and in the practice of Xochimilcan producer Amina Cyu.
