Microhom's latest EP - Space Time Foam - is a narrative exploration on the intricate theories of quantum physics, time traveling and black holes, created by using styles that combine different decades from 80's new wave, to deconstructed 2000's techno and ambient as the main thread for quantum dislocation. Fully produced with modular synths in her Mexico City studio.
Microhm is the alias of electronic and digital media artist Leslie García (member of the national system of creators SNCA).
The music that she produces under this alias, seeks above all to create states of emotional immersion that she addresses with a wide range of technical and musical resources. It brings together influences ranging from slow techno, ambient, noise, IDM, among others. She uses analog synthesis instruments processed with digital tools.
Her album “Eternal Night” was released in 2018 on the Tijuana label Static Discos, as well as the singles, “With you”, “Espectral” and “Servicio Magnético” (2019). During 2019 she published “Intangible Energy Waves” a live dark ambient improvisation with the CDMX Vorágine label. At the beginning of 2020, she presented “Infinita Incertidumbre” with the Mexican label Low Mute, as well as the single “Kyoke” for the Yu Yu club compilation and “Abrazo” for Vol1. Sounds in Resilience from the LGTB + Oris label. In 2021 she released “Lost in Elastic Time” on Ecuadorian label “También”.

El último EP de Microhom, Space Time Foam, es una exploración narrativa sobre las intrincadas teorías de la física cuántica, los viajes en el tiempo y los agujeros negros, creada mediante el uso de estilos que combinan diferentes décadas, desde el new wave de los 80, hasta el techno y el ambient deconstruidos de los 2000, como hilo conductor para dislocación cuántica. Producida íntegramente con sintetizadores modulares en su estudio de la Ciudad de México.
El tiempo es un invento complejo y hermoso para abarcar la realidad y construirla a partir de ritmos y secuencias con una calidad casi musical.
A veces, cuando sueño, todo sucede a la vez, estoy aquí, estoy ahí, inmersa en un medio cristalino denso que a momentos se torna líquido permitiendo avanzar. Los años pasan en segundos y los segundos son en realidad una puerta al infinito.
