Texturas asimétricas, atmósferas rodeadas de momentos explosivos y abstracciones inmersivas, se crean a partir de intervenciones de tecnologías en desuso combinadas con software y sintetizadores, componiendo obras cargadas de poder y simbolismo basado en lo efímero, cristalizando en un sonido sobrio con matices análogos y sesgados, al brutalismo por su contundencia y sentimentalismos monumentales.

En 2019, Cosmorama comenzó a concebirse como una obra que musicaliza los fenómenos físicos relacionados con la luz, abstrayendo la impotencia y la insensatez que se siente en un panorama global lleno de incertidumbre y la búsqueda de satisfacción momentánea que a veces nos distrae del frenesí que involucra al ser humano.

We Get Signal es un proyecto audiovisual experimental creado en 2016 por Gerardo Cortés (28), nacido en la Ciudad de México donde reside actualmente y donde se formó como ingeniero en acústica.

Involucrado en la música desde muy joven, Gerardo realizó varios proyectos musicales, inicialmente como vocalista y bajista, y terminó en su última participación como multi-instrumentista y productor musical, dando pautas para la exploración de su propio sonido.

Asymmetric textures, atmospheres surrounded by explosive moments and immersive abstractions, are created from interventions of disused technologies combined with software and synthesizers, composing works loaded with power and symbolism based on the ephemeral, crystallizing in a sober sound, with analogous and biased nuances, to brutalism for its forcefulness and monumental sentimentalities.

In 2019 Cosmorama began to be conceived as a work that musicalizes the physical phenomena related to light, abstracting the helplessness and senselessness that is felt in a global panorama full of uncertainty and the search for momentary satisfaction that sometimes distracts us from the frenzy that involves the human being.

We get Signal is an experimental audiovisual project created in 2016 by Gerardo Cortés (28) born in Mexico City where he currently resides and where he trained as an Acoustic Engineer.

Involved in music from a young age, Gerardo went through various musical projects, initially as a vocalist and bassist and ending in his last participation as a multi-instrumentalist and music producer, giving guidelines for the exploration of his own sound.
